Press kit · PRUF.NET public beta
The social network that doesn’t want to know your name.
Proof of humanity without proof of identity. PRUF.NET opens 10,000 public beta seats on an iPhone social network designed never to collect personal information, not even an email.
The news in three sentences
PRUF Systems has opened 10,000 public beta seats for PRUF.NET, an iPhone social network that verifies every member is a live human and never asks who they are.
Sign-up takes no name, email, phone number or password: Face ID and a live-person check on the iPhone confirm a live person, and PRUF never receives facial data.
Private messages are end-to-end encrypted, there are no ads, and bots can’t get in.

Zero-PII in 60 seconds
PII is personally identifiable information: the names, email addresses, phone numbers, faces and ID numbers most apps collect at sign-up and keep for years. A zero-PII service is designed never to collect that information and never to store it in plain text. Most privacy promises protect the data a company holds; zero-PII removes the data instead.

Reporter FAQ
What exactly does PRUF store about me?
Your usernames, what you choose to post, and basic account records such as your iPhone model, sign-in times and the general area your account was created in. No name, email, phone number, password, government ID or face. Private messages are end-to-end encrypted and PRUF can’t read them.
How is this different from other proof-of-personhood systems?
Other approaches scan irises or tie accounts to a government ID. PRUF.NET asks for neither: Face ID and the live-person check run on the phone, and PRUF never receives facial data.
Can’t someone with a phone farm still create fake accounts?
Bots can’t get in. Creating an account takes Face ID and a live-person check, and Face ID runs again every time the app opens. One person, one phone: each phone holds one live profile. PRUF checks that someone is human, not that they’re good.
Is there an Android version?
Not during the beta.
How does PRUF make money without ads?
The core network is free during beta and stays free. Users who want more can opt into a monthly subscription for expanded storage and additional usernames. The company is also developing its zero-PII verification for use beyond social networking, including privacy-preserving website access and authorization for AI agents a person approves.
What can PRUF hand over if a government asks?
With valid legal process, the basic account records PRUF holds, such as usernames and sign-in times. There is no name, email, phone number or face on file to hand over. Private messages are end-to-end encrypted, so PRUF can’t read them, and the vault lives on the person’s phone and in their own iCloud, not on PRUF’s servers.
Is zero-PII the same as anonymous?
No. Anonymous platforms let anyone in, including bots. PRUF.NET knows every account belongs to a live person holding a real phone. It just doesn’t know which person.
